It is a very good day for Americans. President George W. Bush has been re-elected for another four year term
with a clear majority of the popular vote (approx. 3.5 million). Both the House and the Senate have been reinforced with additional
Republican members, demonstrating that the majority of Americans are weary of the liberal ideologues and their counter-traditional,
anti-American, morally relative “progressive culture.” The Michael Moores and the “Hollywood elites”
should heed the voice of the electorate in the slogan of their own, “MOVE ON.” The majority of American citizenry
recognize the legitimacy of President Bush, and trust in his leadership as we continue to wage a long overdue war on global
terrorism and those States which sponsor them.
I am confident as the absentee ballots and provisional votes filter
in, we will all see an increase (at minimum marginally) in popular votes for President Bush, contrary to the bitter analysis
of many liberal media pundits and outlets.
Locally, my County did support President Bush (56% to 43%), as did most
Counties in the State of Michigan. Something like 75% of the Counties supported President Bush. Still, he lost in Michigan.
Why? The densely populated urban areas which are Teamster and auto manufacturing union strongholds in and about Detroit turned
the tide to Kerry (particularly Wayne County who gave Kerry a surplus of 338,000 votes) to the tune of 165.000 votes.
I
respect the Right of every American to cast his or her vote, but unfortunately too many Americans voted against President
Bush, and not for Senator Kerry. Too many were not informed, and did not have the ambition to dig below the surface of media
reports and learn the truth. These individuals were in my opinion, sheep who were ready and willing to be led astray by a
liberally biased press. Leftists do not appreciate critical thinkers (though they purport to be such), but rather, they value
those who are dependent upon their benevolent guidance, those who are easily purchased by slogans and divisiveness. Most who
cast a vote for Senator Kerry did so merely out of spite for President Bush, because of the controversy of Florida 2000. Most
did not care if, as a friend of mine said, “...a fence post had ran against President Bush.” They would have voted
for the fence post. It is unfortunate for them, but fortunate for them that many more Americans held their ground and
made the correct decision to re-elect President Bush.
I will not dwell on the nightmare “what if”
scenarios if Senator Kerry had been elected. Instead, I am going to look forward to the next four years with President George
W. Bush as my leader, and do so with the knowledge that I can trust him with the direction he is leading America.
President George W. Bush preparing for another 4 years as Americas Commander and Chief.
